A friend of mine took it in to work today with him as he works for a computer place and he knew some people who were good with PCs.
Basically they took out my harddrive and stuck it in something else to test it, and to cut a long story short, its totally f**ked.
Soooo I gotta buy a new harddrive, they're not too expensive so it shouldn't take too long to get one, and my friend's workmates should be able to install it for me. Obviously, this means I'll have lost everything I had on my laptop, which includes WoW.
Soooo, depending how long it takes to find, buy, have delivered and installed, a new harddrive, and then how long WoW and other things take to install (I need to download the WoW and TBC installers because I can't find those CDs, and that takes a while), I'll probably be away for approx a week, maybe less if I'm lucky.
Rebby.

Depending on your current place in the world, if you order a harddrive today, it'll take roughly two days to deliver.
Installing windows on a harddrive: roughly 3 hours. Downloading and installing WoW (BC and patches): On a 2Mb/512Mb (The standard ADSL here in denmark) it'll take roughly 24-48 hours.
So yeah. A week seems somewhat reasonable *nods*

Actually, further update. Since the laptop is still inside guarentee, it'd be dumb to spend my own money buying and paying for repairs. The downside of this of course is that taking it to repair shop of the manufacturer (Toshiba) could take an unknown amount of time. If all they have to do is replace the harddrive then it SHOULD be quick, but these things have been known to make you wait a month or more, too.
I'll see, if its gonna be a minimum of a month (which'd be rediculous) then I might install WoW on here and just play on minimum settings, it depends.

Updateo Numero Three:
It was picked up today to be taken to a repair place, so now begins the waiting game to see how long it takes them to fix it. Which literally involves taking out the hard drive, sticking a new one in, and loading windows, but I reckon it'll be a couple weeks at least.
